I get that from time to time, but it usually passes.

Note to everyone else - o/s = b/s. Byte in French is "octet".

And yes, some of my anime torrents go that slow, so I just slip my laptop under my bed, and when I wake up tomorrow, it somehow goes speeds up and finishes... cool.

My torrents go painfully slow sometimes, but I blame that on the fact that the internet is a series of tubes, so I guess sometimes they get clogged.

Why it made two threads :

The more you have downloaded, the faster your down speed is.

Unless you like ten or more seeders, then you're going to be downloading pretty fast, unless there's like a hundred leechers.

What I mean is; be patient. Your down speed should improve, unless you have like, one seeder on a shitty connection.

If you have Shareaza!, there's a chart thing on the left that I think is your intake. Turn it up to MAX.

I really don't like Bittorent. Does anybody know any P2P programs that are setup like Kazaa? Is Morpheus like that?

And no, I know that dikfore isn't a real program.

Yes I use Ares I get movies and such, that I own of course, *wink* in like 2 hours. Just google Ares and look for the one for Free. You shouldn't have to pay for it! It is just like Kazaa to an extent.

That use to be my P2P program right after Napster, but then I started using Kazaa, and after I caught viruses from them I started using Ares...been happy ever since.

WinMX died in December 2005, I mourned it... I burned all the WinMX programs on a disc, and buried the disc at the schoolyard.

I don't really use Limewire anymore, as it's a pile of crap and tends to generate a lot of results that are irrelevant to what I was searching for, things disguised as other things, and the like. Also the number of mislabeled songs pisses me off greatly.

I mostly just use torrents these days.

I like Canada. I want to move to Yellowknife, or Inuvik. I imagine it'd be hard to move to Inuvik, there can't be many job opportunities there.

I'm gonna bite the bait and assume you're kidding about the lack of jobs up north? You'd probably get paid more there than anywhere in North America for most careers - doctors, nurses, teachers, etc. But, most towns don't even have grocery stores, and you need a ski doo, 4-wheeler, and sometimes even a boat to get to some remote areas... I think the money would be sweet but not worth it to live such a secluded life.

Inuvik is so small, there aren't many jobs openings there. And if there are, odds are it wouldn't be anything that I'd qualify for with what I hope to major in. So, pf. I'm sure in NT as a whole, I could find something, but in Inuvik itself, nah.
