Greece’s Legal System Strike = Game Devs Stuck in Jail

Essentially two game developers who work on the Arma series of games were taking pictures in Greece of military stuff. They were accused of espionage and locked up in jail. This happened on 9/9/2012.

Now, over a month later they have not made their way through the legal process because the legal system is essentially on strike.

For the time being, these guys are stuck in Greece in jail and won't be processed through until October 20th at the earliest.

Processing isn't necessarily going to set them free either. They could face up to 20 years in jail.

I'm not surprised by this. Maybe i watch too much X Files but photographing the military has always been illegal has it not.

Yeah, I'm sorry but if you're out there photographing military equipment without permission, you deserve some sort of punishment. They could have done what every western developer does and ASK FUCKING PERMISSION. I don't think a lengthy jail sentence should be the punishment, but they deserve a stupidity fine or something at least.
