From Noon today to Monday morning at 10 AM.

I don't meed the minimum specs to run the game, but there's no reason for you all with real computers to be left out. Give it a shot.

I was given a beta key a while ago, but I too am unable to run it yet, so I gave it to my brother.

Didn't drop below 50% of my health the entire time. Easy, moderately enjoyable. I played the Demon Hunter.

Yeah health is super easy to come by in this one. Every third monster seemed to drop some, by the time I beat the beta I had 40 something potions that I never had to use due to all the health drops. Plus the monk has a healing skill which made the boss fight not even a challenge. Hopefully there is a Nightmare difficulty.

The monk is pretty badass though, that teleporting lightning fist kind of rocks, nothing can run from you if you use it. I like how they did identifying and town portals this time too. No more fucking inventory cluttering scrolls! Probably going to run through it on each class and see which I like the best tomorrow.

I was pretty sure it was a Day 1 buy for me, totally sure now.

The only way the beta can be challenging at this point, is to join a game with 3 other people who just sit at the start. Can't play a monk either cause they're OP as shit.

Thanks for the tip Usa. I was finally able to get into it today and I have to say I'm a little disappointed. For some reason, I was expecting....more. The graphics are a let down for a AAA game of 2012 , and it doesn't seem like there has been much evolution in the Diablo formula since Diablo II which on one hand is good, but on the other....I don't know, I was expecting more.

So uh...I got the Overachiever achievement. Yeah, I got all the damn achievements. No, I was not bored at all while leveling all the characters to 13. The Witch Doctor is fucking crazy; it's fun as hell, all the attacks look sweet, and I was getting like 100+ dps with that Soul Harvest ability. So sick, easily my first character.

I will say they made a lot of controversial changes which I wasn't sure I agreed with, but by "dumbing down" the game, it is made much more fun. No more having to worry about where to put stat points, no more skill tree misclicks and damage calculating, or having certain builds or skills not viable in Hell. Everything is just very simplified and the game is better for it. I am a believer once again.

Most negative comment I've read so far:

And when you look at this link pay attention to every spell. and the effects they gain by putting a point into the spell. Some is +dmg, some +time length or -mana and +radius. Not always simply +dmg.

And then pay attention to the synergize bonuses some of the spells receive from other spells. And then try to state Diablo III's skill system has customization when compared to this. Enjoyed your dumbed down action RPG for the dumbed down New-gen gamer.
