Cool WHOOP!!! Cool

Screw those "experts" on espn.com who all picked the Saints. They should know that even the best offense in the world can't beat a defense that can force that many turnovers.

And If the Pats win tonight, be prepared for a replay of what happened 21 years ago Syd.

I read about that, that was their first big win since the 1950's, as I've heard.

The Colts are my favorite team, but I wouldn't have cared much if they lost.

Question : When Rex Grossman got an efficiency rating of 0.0, did that mean he didn't complete a single pass?

Also, I hate the timer in the NFL. Too often we see teams letting the clock count down at the end of a match by doing absolutely nothing. That's really boring. If the clock stopped after every play, the teams couldn't do that (well, they could, but they'd only waste 1 second per play, not 40).
Currently, there's about 30 minutes of plays and 30 minutes between the plays.

Manning, Colts break through to Super Bowl

NFL.com wire reports

INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 21, 2007) -- A comeback, a drive, a legacy. And yes -- finally -- Peyton Manning gets his Super Bowl trip, too.

Football's most prolific quarterback put on a show for the ages, rallying the Indianapolis Colts from 18 points down and driving them 80 yards for the winning score in a wildly entertaining 38-34 victory over the New England Patriots.

In his nine years in the league, Manning has never played in a game like this AFC championship contest. He threw for 349 yards and one touchdown and brought his team back from a 21-3 deficit.

Joseph Addai capped Manning's late drive with the winning score, a 3-yard run with one minute left to help the Colts (15-4) complete the rally and send coach Tony Dungy to his first Super Bowl -- and a very special one.

Dungy and the Colts will face the Chicago Bears and his good friend Lovie Smith in Miami in two weeks. Together they are the first black coaches to make the Super Bowl in its 41 years.

After Indy's last touchdown, Manning was on the sideline, his head down -- he couldn't bear to watch. New England's Tom Brady -- he of the three Super Bowl rings -- threw an interception to Marlin Jackson and the RCA Dome crowd went wild. One kneel down later and Manning ripped off his helmet to celebrate.

As my girlfriend is from near Chicago, Illinois, we've been cheering the Bears on in the post-season. It's been really exciting, though the Saints didn't put up much of a fight today. The Bears defense was rock solid for most of the game, but if they're going to win the Super Bowl, Grossman has to get his head out of his ass and be more consistent with his playing. I think he did better today than last week, but the margin of the scores could've been much greater if Grossman had throw some better passes.

Also, I didn't want the Patriots to win because I believe their time is over. I like to see Manning having a chance at the Vince Lombardi Trophy, even though he also has been having a rough post-season.

Above all, I still want the Bears to win. My girlfriend even has a Bears hat with the orange 'C' on it that will flash with fiber optic lighting. I should take a picture of it sometime this week.

Not necessarily. Here's the formula for calculating the QB ratings.

a = (((Comp/Att) * 100) -30) / 20
b = ((TDs/Att) * 100) / 5
c = (9.5 - ((Int/Att) * 100)) / 4
d = ((Yards/Att) - 3) / 4

a, b, c and d can not be greater than 2.375 or less than zero.

QB Rating = (a + b + c + d) / .06

RIP Hacker.

That would have been a great match-up. Sadly, it's not gonna happen. Go Bears!

Yesterday was a great day. Hoping two weeks from yesterday will be even better.

GO COLTS!

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us.

And here I am freaking out that the Super Bowl was gonna pre-empt [i]Heroes[/] Embarrassed Shows how much I know about football.

Then again it seems to me the Bears would win as a bear could easily maul a young horse.

So I guess Go Bears!
