So, yeah, I got to playing some Civ 2, and took some decision advice from the chat room. Somehow, they nominated Sarah Palin as their queen. So, yeah.

Pretty much, the chat room decided all the opening world set-up stuff (including the nasty Barbarians option). They also decide (by the incredibly unfair method of "first one to speak gets it") -
*All new city names
*Which advancements to pursue
*Diplomatic decisions (though I screwed up and have accidentally refused all knowledge trades so far. Oops.)
*General foreign policy. Who to kill, whether to honor treaties, etc.

Thus far, the fledgeling empire has endured some brief conflicts with the Aztec and German empires, and has thus far wiped out the Germans. There's also a fairly friendly peace with the Romans so far, but who knows how long that will last?

Anyways, this is being posted because, one, I want the chat people to see what they have wrought, but I figure I can give the forum some stuff to decide too.

If you want, please suggest:

*A new name for the newly captured Berlin. It should reflect the glory of our Queen.
*While we're at it, any suggested names for any future cities.
*We just discovered The Republic (actually, we took the knowledge by force from the Aztecs. Go fig). Do we depose Queen Palin and appoint Counsel Palin? Leave things as they are as a Monarchy? Or go back to the good old days of Despotsim and Empress Palin?
*Set a general foreign policy. Our rep is Questionable, we're at war with the Aztecs and peace with the Romans, and have yet to discover anyone else. How should we proceed as to our neighbors?
*Anything else you want to request.

I hope to do this for a few nights, so, yeah. Suggest away.

Well, Berlin became Palintown, and the Palin Empire began a phase of peaceful expansion...until those treacherous Aztecs bribed one of our border guards. The chat was outraged and called upon their Queen to wipe them out. And...we didn't. But we came close.

Here's our Eastern empire, note the complete lack of Aztecs. To get an idea of where we are, Rome up there is about a screen away from Cunae. Those are the Roman's only two cities, I think they're going down next.

Demographics. We are up to 50% approval, and our rankings are pretty awesome (except Military Service. I always lag in that, even if I fill the board with troops). I credit the bold effort of Head of Sanitation Tako, who did wonders cleaning the cities up.

I'll still take suggestions here. We just picked up Gunpowder a short time ago, we remain a Monarchy, and letting the Aztecs live ain't an option. But if you wish to become one of Queen Palin's advisers, chime in!
