Aside from Robot Chicken and Deadliest Warrior, this show is one of the few reasons I like to keep cable.
It's about real-life situations in which people are infected with parasites, told by the actual person(s) themselves. It can be disgusting and borderline scary at times, but it never gets boring for me. I've learned quite a lot from the show when it comes to parasites! I like it a lot.
Here's an example of what you'll see on the show (warning: pretty gross IMO):

Anybody else watch this?

i was out at a magic tourney one night and returned home to find my wife watching this shit and freaking out. i asked her why and she said she was interested but then she had night terrors about parasites for about a week. of course, my wife also believes that the kraken is real and demands reverence, if not outright worship, so she's kind of weird.

Perhaps she would've been less freaked out by last night's episode, Double Agents. It talked about people's horrific experiences with leeches, hookworms, and fly maggots -- but briefly mentioned how each of these parasites have helped others as well. After each one, the biologist featured on the show (forgot his name) mentioned how each one has done some good for medical purposes. I already knew about leeches and fly maggots, but I never knew having a hookworm could help with one's allergies completely! No way would I have hookworms in spite of my own allergies, though; I want my intenstines left alone.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that would've still creeped her out like crazy. She regularly watches stuff that gives her nightmares and I get mad about it.

I watch it sometimes. RE4 got me interested in parasites. Anyone see the episode with the guy who saw something crawling around inside of his eye?
