Why does that sound like it's being said in a holier than thou, super accusatory and belitteling tone?

What is a metal nerd?

Would that be like a skinny guy in wool slacks, a white button-up shirt, pocket protector, thick glasses, and a studded leather jacket?

I'm confused.... Crying

I'm going back to my Huey Lewis records now, and let the Huester comfort me...

Just saying it didn't sound like a friendly question.

I would imagine a metal nerd is someone who knows way more about metal than average person, someone who could tell you that the rock songs in Sonic Adventure 2 were all sung by Ted Poley from Danger Danger and Paul Shortino, who replaced Kevin DuBrow as the lead singer of Quiet Riot for awhile.

Brian Posehn is the definition of a metal nerd: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0692634/
His comedy special on Comedy Central really proves it, if you can ever catch it.

Myself, I mainly listen to alternative stuff like Smashing Pumpkins or VAST, industrial stuff like Sister Machine Gun, or classical music like Beethoven, Mozart, and Holst.

Basically, I'll listen to anything but rap though

Generally, the only metal I listen to is prog metal. Bands like Dreamtheatre and Dragonforce. Other than that, I listen to most prog in general, 70's, 80's, early 90's, a cappella, video game music, probably some other stuff here and there.

Brian Posehn is hilarious. I haven't seen his stand-up yet, but I've heard some of his voice work and his skit work also since I'm a huge fan of Mr. Show.

Line Dancing? Oh Tebor, will you marry me? Cool LOL

Oh, and I am not a metal head at all! I do listen to to just about all genres, my faves being alternative, rock, pop, and country.

So today I bought a Shaw's brand cereal that is supposed to be a rip-off of Honey Nut Cheerios. On the back, there is a puzzle for kids where you have to think of an animal, a band, a city or state, and (i think) a food that begin with the letters HONEY NUT.

Keep in mind this is for children, so they filled out the first "N" for you...and they put Nine Inch Nails for the band.

...

...really? On a box of cereal? In a puzzle intended for kids? Nine Inch Nails?

I'm not offended or any of that lame activist bullshit. It's just that what kid who is actually going to fill out this puzzle (read 6 or younger) is going to know Nine Inch Nails? Is Radio Disney playing Starfuckers, INC in their rotation now?
