Typos? Man I'm not even gonna go there. Unless, of course, I get to be named official proof reader for SydLexia.com.
Ok, I will point out one thing. In your news article about the new forums, the first word is Teh. Teh is arguably the most humourous typo, so as to avoid utter humiliation, I suggest you correctify immediately.

In that specific case, teh was done on purpose. Teh is one of those stupid things that has become a word in its own right due to forums. Since the post was announcing the forums, I thought it was appropriate, nay NECESSARY, to use the teh.

Can the color scheme be touched up a bit? I'm all for inclusion of all cultures and ways of life, but this light purple/lime green stuff is making my eyes bleed.

Yeah, I really don't know about that. White (#FFFFFF), Dark Gray (#333333), and Light Purple (#9966FF) have been the site's primary colors since the beginning. When I needed a fourth color, neon green just seemed like the natural choice. I cite the Constructicons as precedent.

Indeed, the site's colors are pretty sexy, especially the use of purple, the bestest color ever. As for an official SydLexia.com proof reader, that position has been filled...by me.
