I found out there's a word in Spanish for "freakazoid" (fenomenoide):
|
"Life is a waste of time. Time is a waste of life. Get wasted all the time, and you'll have the time of your life!" |

If you change "underrated" to "overrated", this is a true statement.
I'm sorry, but Freakazoid is a classic cartoon example of "trying too fucking hard". It also had a tendency to go from "pretty funny" to "downright fucking irritating" really, really quickly.

Oh God I love Freakazoid. It was one of my favorites when I was a kid, and it still holds up as one of the funniest cartoons I've ever watched. I remember, in my freshman year of college, my Texas History professor went into a ten minute speech on why dildoes are illegal in Texas. I decided that, rather than be crushed under the weight of awkward, the bright thing to do was to lurch down in my chair and watch episodes of Freakazoid! on my IPOD. Good times.

Freakazoid is like surge to me, not horrible but ruined by people saying how wonderful it was with each breath.

Yeah were we supposed to just skip over that and continue the conversation? There's no passing that off as normal, you're gonna have to explain.

I think I just had one of those... wait, what? *triple take* Why the hell would that be brought up in any situation, unless it's one of those sexual history class in Texas where you end up having an orgy at the end...

Was I just too old to care when this show aired? What age of people like this cartoon?

I'm 25, and I never saw the appeal when it was on. Then again, I never got into Animaniacs either. It made me chuckle, as did Freakazoid, but I really wasn't watching that many cartoons anymore at that time. I was playing outside.

Sorry, I am going with the bunny on this one. I couldn't have summed up my feelings better.
