So I've decided that my first guitar, a no-name Gibson SG copy, is a weak piece of shit, but so worthy of an upgrade. So I got rid of the pickups, my dad the airbrush master is painting her up, and I cutting a pickguard out of checkerplate steel (actually aluminum, a magnetic metal would be BAD), and I bought a Gibson Burstbucker Pro to stick in the bridge pickup position.

Now, I was told that there was a proper way to install a pickup, so I need help. From the looks of it, the pickup has to be soldered to the bridge volume dial. I kept all four volume/dial knobs wired together (and the neck position will act as a killswitch), but anyway, where to I solder the two pickup wires to? I'll provide pictures of the knob and the pickup if required.

Do you have the wiring diagram that came with the pickup? Also, before you plug it in after rewiring, make sure it's still grounded to the same circuit (the volume & tone pots), I made that mistake once, electrocution isn't as fun as AC/DC would have you believe.

It didn't come with a diagram, but I realized it's only one wire, and I think I know where to connect it to.
