Looks awesome. I am curious though, how is side story DLC handled? Is there any overlap with the main game/story?

That does look pretty cool. I think the only overlap to the rest of the story is that this was what Father Elijah was talking about when he said the Big Empty was full of untouched advanced technology at the end of Dead Money. I hope it's friggin' longer than Dead Money and Honest Hearts were...

And there's not a lot of overlap in main story/DLC story. For example, Joshua Graham doesn't care if you've already killed Caesar before you started Honest Hearts. You'd think he'd be at least CURIOUS...

Plowed through the DLC recently. Dead Money had a great story with awesome characters and fun weapons, but the gimmicks were pretty lame and limited exploration in an otherwise interesting setting. Honest Hearts was a neat idea, but had less memorable characters, story, and exclusive items, not to mention an insane amount of bugs. I don't know what to think about Old World Blues yet. It looks quirky and fun, but I find fighting robots boring in the Fallout games.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

Bought and beat Old World Blues and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The voice acting is a huge part of it and it's just all so campy and sci-fi cliche that it makes you smile. James Urbaniak voices one of the Think Tank members which is friggin' hilarious because it's like talking to Dr. Venture all the time. And with Weird Wasteland, he makes a PA announcement about washing the Walking Eye and you find a couple Walking Eyes in one area. Though they don't actually do anything.

There are a ton of new energy weapons and more rare ones, Tesla Cannons, Multiplas Rifles and even Gauss rifles are fairly common at higher levels being wielded by Trauma Harnesses. Which are super creepy new enemies by the way. You get a home base that when fully upgraded, can provide you with pretty much anything you need, including the ability to make one of each of the skill books.

Lots of robots; Protectrons, the various Mister models, Sentry Bots, Robobrains, Cyberdogs, Securitrons (who will volley the SHIT out of you with their shoulder racks BTW), and the new Robo Scorpions who kinda suck unless you have something that shorts them out. And there are only like three new weapons that do just that, including a fucking awesome new axe.

I believe 35 new places to discover in the Big MT crater, so it's pretty big. Felt bigger and longer than Dead Money or Honest Hearts too. There's a lot of mention of what went down before Dead Money concerning the brief period during which Ulysses, Elijah and Cristine were all at Big MT at the same time and you get to learn a little more about Ulysses. Which is cool but really the most frustrating (and hooking) aspect of the game; you got hints back in the main plot line about a past with another courier and get more scraps of info through Dead Money and now Old World Blues, but I still don't know what the fuck I ever did to this guy!

Also, no mention anywhere of anything that happened in Honest Hearts, guess that one is the bastard child DLC.

After the major success of Fallout: New Vegas' lastest DLC Old World Blues, fans have been wondering about the state of the last DLC pack Lonesome Road. According to Bethesda, Lonesome Road has hit a few snags along the way, causing the content to be delayed.

Senior Producer Jason Bergman, shared an update on the recent status of the DLC:
wrote:
"We just wanted to drop in here and let you know that due to circumstances beyond our control, Lonesome Road won't be out this month. This isn't due to any major issue with the code or content, but there are lots of factors involved in releasing these things, and one of those is causing us to slip past our intended release date."

While fans will have to wait awhile longer, they can still enjoy the game's previous three DLC packs, Dead Money, Honest Hearts, and Old World Blues. Lonesome Road is expected to release sometime next month for 800 Microsoft Points, $9.99 on PlayStation Network, Steam, and Direct2Drive.

Bethesda Softworks has announced that it will be releasing a new Ultimate Edition of their popular post-apocalyptic RPG, Fallout: New Vegas. This edition will bundle the base game with several of its DLC expansions. All four of the game's major content expansions, Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road, will be included, as well as the Courier's Stash and Gun Runner's Arsenal DLC. Bethesda has yet to announce the price of this bundle, but it will be arriving in North American stores on February 7 and in Europe shortly thereafter on February 10.
