The old hilbilly country stuff I don't mind but I hate the new stuff that tries too hard to be rock. The main difference between the two (besides country's eardrum-chafing vocals) is that the lyrical themes of rock songs usually don't include lynching, tractors, cooking eggs at three in the morning, and being drunk and in jail.

I live in a hick-heavy area and most people around here seem enjoy that crap,

Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, KISS, and Aerosmith. In spite of the influence they had upon far superior bands that followed them, screw those bands!

I don't care much for Rolling Stones, AC/DC, or The Beatles either, but I won't go as far as to say I dislike them; I just think they're over-rated.

I've always thought Led Zeppelin was very overrated and personally, I don't hear anything "influential" or "amazing" about their music. I've never liked Aerosmith and while I might not switch the channel when LZ comes on, I definitely will if it's Aerosmith. I think that's just more of a case of their shittiest songs being played into the ground that's permanently turned me off of Aerosmith.

And the Eagles are one of the most grating bands I've ever heard that got even worse when they all went solo. Don Henley especially cranked out nothing but shit that everyone always pretends to love.
