Star Trek. Only 3 seasons. Several movies and spinoffs. Rivaled only in popularity by (maybe) Star Wars.

ECW on TNN really needed 2 hours. They didn't have enough time to really do anything on TV. Their PPVs were fantastic though.

Yeah, I have to agree about the PPVs. But for me, TNN was just okay. The only real high points for me were the Rob Van Dam/Jerry Lynn matches. They had the athleticism and movesets (movesets? Sorry, I've been playing too much No Mercy) to have great matches with a lot of highspots without having to worry too much about toning it down for basic cable. The hardcore stuff suffered. Then when they gave the strap to Mike Awesome, I knew it was their ship had sailed.

And Jericho is gone for good from CBS... I never watched it.

Jim Henson's The Storyteller only lasted about 15 episodes, and I LOVED it.

It's on DVD now, no idea if they have all 15 eps in one collection or not though.

Adding Pirates of Dark Water to the list, simply because it was unfinished.

I liked that show. It was very distinctive.

Simpsons are definitely getting long in the teeth, although they did deserve a good portion of that long run.

Ill agree that its getting to be the time for the Simpsons to end it, but Groenig (spelling) will leave it on until they take it off.

Anyone ever heard of a show called viper? it was kind of like knight rider, but it was only on for maybe 5 episodes.

Too short .hack//SIGN was an anime, it made no sense, 27 episodes I think

Too long any reality show that has more then 2 seasons

In my opinion, all shows should go into limbo after ten seasons, after which they take a 1-3 year hiatus to take some time to review whether or not to continue and make up some solid storyboards, spinoffs, etc. There's just too much crap TV out there for me to pick and choose from. I'm sick and tired of shows with flimsy storylines and predictable plots. Weeds, for example, was a show I enjoyed until season 3. The show started to fall apart for me there. Unrealistic, predictable, and unenjoyable rediculousness is what irked me here. Now I hear season 4 is in the works and I don't think season 3 really made me jump for joy for a new season. Anyways, I'm so far behind on the times I don't even know what's on TV today. I think I'll just stick with watching old shows so by the time I get through the entire series and move on, the stuff that's on today will be "retro" and I may actually enjoy it.

Frasier went on way too long. That show was funny for about 5 seconds.

Whenever characters in sitcoms start getting married and shit you know it's gone on too long.
