So? We got 14 pages about a fucking cartoon already, why start complaining now?
Anyways, I know it wasn't planned this way, but Kenny as Mysterion does make sense. He's always been very heroic, even incredibly reckless at times; he seems to know he's able to die and even gets annoyed at the other kids for not noticing; and despite a lack of development, he does have a habit of doing the "right thing" even more than Stan and Kyle.

I just rewatched, and he says eventually after dying he ends up in his bed. What he says after that is the next day, by which he means the day after waking in his bed, he goes to school and no one remembers him dying. People seem to take that to mean he dies one day and comes back the next, which I don't think that was the case even though that's what happened in this episode.
Granted this show is not firmly rooted in continuity unless they need it to be for the sake of an episode. It's still fun to discuss it though.

Why don't you think that's the case, Opti? The explanation actually made pretty good sense to me, unless there's something I missed. Have we seen something that directly contradicts that before? (I mean, aside from the series of eps with Kenny's soul in Cartman's body, but that was an exception and an aberration.)

The "Golden PSP" episode implies Kenny can stay dead long enough to win a Celestial war.

My point is, people looking for continuity errors will find them and people looking for way to fit in times when kenny was gone longer than a day can find it too. The wording is vague, perhaps intentionally so.

Not to mention that the show was about 3rd graders back in 1997. The show seems to keep up with current events, so they should now be about 21, yet they have defied aging except for that one time they went up a grade.
Thinking too hard about South Park will hurt your brain.

It's flexible continuity, sure. But it's still really, really cool that they try and keep some ties to the past.

Exactly. And what is our job as nerds/geeks if not to gleefully nitpick continuity and find errors, while simultaneously making up ridiculous reasons why the events might fit after all. It's how nerds express their love for something.
On the topic of which: I believe the Golden PSP was an exception to the rule. After all, this was God we're talking about. Surely He could override whatever "rules" Kenny's power have, if He needed him to keep the universe safe.

In episode 11 Coon leads an entire team of crime-fighters. They are ready to take their place among the worlds most admired and beloved super heroes. The nation looks to another hero to get them through the BP disaster and dissention develops within the ranks of Coon and friends.

The one continuity error that annoys me is they changed Token's last name.

They change last names all the time. Comes from having 6 days to work on shit and not everyone writes stuff down.
According to the FAQ, though, his name is "Token Black"

His original last name was Williams. Kimmy's last name changed from Swanson to Valmer and Craig's last name changed TWICE. I hope now they have a private wiki to keep track of such matters.

Honestly from what I have gathered from commentaries and interviews they don't really care.

That episode was pretty damn good. But what did Kenny mean when he said he's been the the "Nether Realm" before? Also the Mint-Berry Crunch psych out was hilarious.
