If they make a Shoto-scrub movie, it should star Ken. Ryu is devoid of personality.

What amazes me is that they'd even consider making another Street Fighter movie. The only VG-based flick that has been the butt of more jokes is Super Mario Bros.

I must say, though, that after watching the commentary on the SF DVD, I enjoy and respect it a whole lot more. I recommend it.

He's reworked a bit and the character, as well as the other Special Forces characters, are much more developed, but a form of No-Face is in it, absolutely. But is Tremor in it? Hmm Pac-Man

If they want to make a good SF movie, they should just copy the Anime version. It was the only version of SF that used all the characters in a feasible and entertaining way. And, if they could do a live action version of the Chun-Li/Vega fight scene move for move, that would be the friggin' sweetest thing ever!

It (the movie) will probably another cheesefest. (ala Dead Or Alive, which is looking to be a charlie angels rip-off)

Yeah, but there's a 10% chance that they'll make a good effort, and it'll be half-decent.

I don't see why it wouldn't. The Lantern's more well known than Electra, and she got her own movie.

That's because DD gross enough money to warent it and Jennifer Garner was a rising star to possibly develop a franchise with. The film was a bomb though, which hurts other potential minor superhero movies (I need to check how the two DVD releases faired).

Blade has been the exception that has proven the rule. It's off or on. There's no such thing as a definite success or failure, all that matters is the producer's pitch to the studio. If Spielberg wants a Green Lantern movie, then by God there will be one by next Christmas.

A Green Lantern movie might happen, but the belief right now is that minor superheroes start out in another superhero movie and then spinoff from there. See Silver Surfer for example. Or Green Arrow for that matter.

Reasons why Elektra failed: Bad script, Rob Bowman making strange directorial choices, a complete 180 in tone from the DD movie, starring a character few people felt they could connect with.

The kid didn't bug me as much as other movie kids, though I can see why audiences wouldn't care about her or her father.

And I will see any movie because of Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. Fighting or not.
