Sounds better, I don't know though, slow moving things don't go over well with me, maybe if I get ridiculously bored and there is nothing else to watch.

It is definitely an adult show. If you like cartoons it might not be for you. Each episode is much more like a mini movie than a standard TV program.

I like that kind of show, I'm just not fond of slow shows and vampires.

If you can watch Season 1 it definitely answers TONS of questions.

I watch it, but i wouldn't say I am a huge fan. It's kinda rambling and the stupidity of some of the characters is amazing (but maybe that is part of the fun...I guess), and the accents drive me crazy.
That being said there is something about the series that keeps me watching, whether it's the sex, story, or just fascination i can't say. Season2 has been pretty good so far..i particularly liked the flashbacks that occurred a few episodes back. If you can build a tolerance for some of the things i nitpicked about through the first few episodes, I think you will like it.

I will never understand girls/women fascination or lust for vampires, Lately with all these movies and tv shows...it just makes me laugh because aren't these fang bangers technically necrophiliacs. lol

Real women/girls who are into this stuff... no clue, that's just odd. In the show however many women would be attracted if they had done "V" or if they were glamored.

I watched the first couple episodes then stopped watching....I think I am missing out on half the excitment of the because I am a girl and dont need to see Anna Paquin naked...

However it is differant from other vampire stories, I will give it that, I just got annoyed with the way the show was presented, cliffhangers at the end of every episode and lots of sex scenes, anything that tries that hard to get people hooked I dont want to get hooked on!

There's a girl who I used to work with who is absolutely obsessed with everything vampires and she raves about this show, I watched about half and episode before I grew kinda bored. I don't know...vampires don't do it for me...not unless they're Leslie Nielson.

The first season of "True Blood" is quite horrendous. It is slow, tedious, and infuriating. They even drop the main arc of the season towards the end so they could set up season 2 instead, then they payoff the Fang Banger Killer at the last minute. I was sorely disappointed and was skeptical of season 2.

Season 2 is MUCH better than Season 1. It takes maybe three episodes for it to really get going, but then it flows along quite well. S2 still has its problems, especially that the two main story arcs never affect each other, but it's a lot more fun and they don't just write off their losses and set up season 3 instead.

Someone asked earlier if you could skip season one, I say yes. Read a season summary to know roughly what happened, but if anything season one will deter you from going farther into the series. Of course, the show isn't for everyone -- I say as a disclaimer mainly because season two gets crazy and throws realism to the wind.

I actually enjoyed Season 1. It was slower than 2 and had moments where I was bored with it, but the overall story was fun. I don't think that people could appreciate why Jason is so fucked up in the head during Season 2 unless they watch Season 1.

Do they need to? Jason goes from finding God to becoming Rambo. He talks a lot about how he lived in season one and how that's why he's trying to find redemption -- he over does it and becomes the poster boy for the cult. And then needs to redeem himself for that and over does it again by becoming a one man army. You kinda know who Jason is from that and whenever he gets lucky (which thankfully is about 1/3 as often as he did in season one).

I enjoyed but seasons for the most part, but the story structure started collapsing about 3/4 of the way through the second season, I thought they could have done better.

For sure, it really got nutty. But it also felt like "Angel" season four, so I was all good. But 3/4 through when Dallas ended probably did hurt the show just because Eric disappeared almost completely.

That reminds me, know what pisses me off about the second season? Bill gets stuck a lot. He's trapped in his hotel room for a couple of episodes in Dallas and then later he's stuck at Evan Rachel Wood's place for a couple more episodes... They need to come up with better ways to keep Bill from showing up and saving the day.
