i just remember it sounding like cube. so i spelled cube : :
i actually had a "demo" of it. i say "demo" because i could play it for like an hour or two.
it only ended when you died. not like the old psx 1 level or something demos.

300 the movie was terrible.
the GN was good. the movie added a bunch of BS that was unnecessary.

You are wrong. The movie was 100% historically accurate.

WarCraft III is shitty, shitty, shitty.
Dawn of War and the entire Command and Conquer series are all you need.

Zelda: Windwaker- I don't care if the story/game is that good, I couldn't get past the cartoony nature of it
Any Megaman past 3- Random ass bosses
Mario Kart 64- I know I'll catch shit for this one... but this isn't the game's fault... in my eyes, Super Mario Kart (it's predecessor) is one of the most perfect games ever created and would be hard to live up to no matter what
T&C Surf Design- fuck the surfing stage
Underrated:
Soul Blazer (SNES)
Lagoon (SNES) - both this and Soul Blazer have been pretty well forgotten, which is a shame, they're amazing
Ecco the Dolphin (Genesis)- had a really good time with this one
The 7th Saga (SNES)- one of the most difficult and fun RPGs I've ever played

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,

Not many people liked Lagoon because they can't kill the first boss.
Zombies Ate my Neighbors was overrated. Half the people who played it hated it because it was too long(no saving), but it was a great game anyways because of the movie references.
Megamans Battlenetwork games are underrated imo.
All fighting games not Street Fighter, DoA, Virtual Fighter, MK, and Marvel v. Capcom are underrated.
Halo 3 and SSBB are he champions/kings of overrated video games.

Mario Kart 64 probably is overrated to some degree, but I find that Super Mario Kart is damn near unplayable after playing any of the sequels. The graphics are a complete blurry mess and I feel like I hardly have any control over what's going on. To each his own though.

Well, Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior(/Quest) are totally overrated (in Japan very least). And I think Zelda ain't a RPG, but Ocarina of Time; frankly is quite overrated. As Phantasy Star... Hmm... Well...

I agree, though I didn't particularly like it back in the day either: http://www.sydlexia.com/snes100/snes18.htm
Another thing that always bugged me about the game was the character models. They look more like fan-drawn hack sprites than something someone got paid to make. Yoshi looks particularly awful.

i agree w/this statement.
and the controls feel very crappy compared to any of the sequels. im sure it would be great if it was remade w/the DS control scheme.
i still think the DS mario kart is the best one of the series

i get your not a fan of rpgs but when millions and millions all go out and buy one game its a safe bet its probably not that over rated. people love em. i remember seeing an article where half the schools had to fight truancy when a dragon warrior came out. the big name rpgs are generally well reviewed sell millions and hav efond places in many gamers minds. but i 100% understand that some people are just put off by them. alot of them are slow and long. thats not the greatest combination.

well, i guess im biased since i got into Starcraft before i got into C&C. and naturally i went from starcraft to warcraft.
but they are both good series'.

You have to admit, the exponential difficulty curve will turn off a lot of people. I beat the game, but I'm masochistic, and I'm not sure I would play it again.

My hat is off to you sir. That game is a bitch. But I still dig it quite a bit.

Yea, while Mode 7 graphics were never easy on the eyes, in Super Mario Kart they were particularly awful for some reason. F-Zero looked and played significantly better, and it was a launch title that came out 2 full years earlier. It probably had something to do with resources being tied up to the map that took up half the damn screen, which was totally useless and unnecessary.

I'm not really into the hypermicromanagement required in WarCraft and StarCraft.
