Apology accepted, but the sad thing here is your misconception about the game and its role in the Star Wars saga.
Yes, it is part of the Star Wars Expanded Universe... if you are geeky and like to sort shit like that. However it is 4000 years in the past from the movies. It can be completely separated story wise and what you are missing is one of the greatest stories ever told.
If they took the same plot and removed all specific Star Wars stuff with just "space good guys" and "space bad guys" you would find one of the greatest games of all time. I still argue that the game should have been made into a movie and published instead of the first 3 prequels.
As far as I am aware, KOTOR and KOTOR II both play on the XBOX 360.

doesnt the first KOTOR sell on steam for about $5?
i remember buying it for $2.49 a while ago. its a fun game and it most definitely is an RPG

Exactly what you said except replace Lufia II with Destiny of an Emperor and that's exactly how I feel.

I added Crystalis to my list since it does have an RPG-like leveling up system. Which means I could probably consider games like Soulblazer and Illusion of Gaia RPGs by that standard. However I didn't include any Zelda games since I don't feel they quite meet that criteria of an RPG. Maybe we should clarify what constitutes an RPG. Like maybe non-action RPGs. But then I would have to strike Crystalis and Secret of Mana from my list.

My favorite Lufia game is Lufia: The Legend Returns for the Game Boy Color. If the list was 15 or 20 I am sure all of the Lufia games would make it onto my list then.

He will bitch that he doesn't have a PC fast enough to play it. So I suggest that version of the game he can't bitch about. The game is still worth $50, so hopefully when he finds it for $19.99 at Target or something like that, he'll buy it.

Sadly, it isn't available as a game on demand. However ,given how old it is, this game is fairly easy to find new at gamestop and I've even seen it new at places like K-Mart for the Xbox.

Love those games, but they are not RPGs. If they were, so would SoTN, and it would be on the top of my list. Definitely a platformer.
