King's Quest IV, King's Quest V, and King's Quest VI. Each one upped the ante significantly.

Guitar Hero III, the first one to feature mostly master tracks.

Super Mario Bros. 2- Yes, I know most people prefer the original, but I think 2 is more fun because you get to throw shit at enemies, even though it wasn't a Mario game to begin with, but whatever.

I totally agree also. Super Mario 2 was better than the original. The original was kinda lame, not as fun as 2.

A lot of sequels have already been mentioned. However, Ultima: Quest of the Avatar was way better than Exodus. Final Fantasy IV, V, and VI were each an improvement over their predecessor. Obviously Super Metroid was far better than the original. And I liked the original. Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts > Ghosts n' Goblins.

Super Mario 2 is a little too easy. It was one of the first games I ever beat.

No kidding! Super Mario 2 was the only game I could break out after 10 years of not playing it, and still beat it effortlessly in less than an hour. The only hard part was remembering where all the mushroom powerups were, which you didn't need cause the game was so fuckin easy.

Yeah, but what the main game lacked in difficulty it made up for with its bonus levels. Them a bitch.
