I've only heard a bit of them, but I enjoy what I've heard. What's a good album to pick up?

Also, I'd definitely take Slayer over Slipknot, though admittedly, I've only heard maybe half of the latter's catalogue. Everything up to South of Heaven, though, was just phenomenal.

I like both Testament and Exodus quite a bit (Saw them on the same bill as Megadeth a few months aago, woo!!!), but I think I'd take Exodus over Testament. As Enshin said, Bonded by Blood was an absolutely amazing album, and one of my favorite thrash records ever, definitely. As well, Exodus' mosh was significantly better than Testament's.

<Drew_Linky> Well, I've eaten vegetables all of once in my life.

I assume you mean Kreator. Pleasure To Kill or Coma of Souls will do just fine.

I always refer to Kreator as Euro-Slayer.

I kinda wish they stuck with their previous name Tormentor. Kreator's kind of a weak name for a metal band. Only problem was some other band in the area was named Tormentor as well. I say they should have pulled a Steve Harris and trademarked the name.

Seconded, especially "Pleasure to Kill". Utterly savage thrash, and they were superb when I saw them live, even if they didn't play "People of the Lie".

I'll take Testament, simply because they're instantly recognizable and I enjoy every song I've heard from them.
Exodus is great and all, but I just prefer Testament.

Now:
Kreator vs. Overkill vs. Dark Angel, go!

That's an incredibly tough choice, but I think I'll go with Kreator in the studio, but Overkill if we're talking about live experience.

Damn...

I mean, Darkness Descends is an absolutely legendary album, but I gotta go with da Kill on this one.

I'm basing my choice purely on Darkness Descends.
It is part of the holy triumvirate of Kill'Em All, Killing is my Business... and Business is Good!, and Darkness Descends.
