(Yeah, it's a regular super instead of a Level 3; still...)
Second, his overall mannerisms work really well for him and can recognize some of them from the games if you pay attention (the sneeze attack comes to mind).
Third, I like they decided to focus on Maya as assistance instead of diluting it to loads of character summons.
Furthermore, I like how they solved the "OBJECTION!!!" issue by turning it into a power-up move (it even plays the power-up theme while at it! ^.^)
Lastly, I love that his Level 3 Super ends up being Phoenix verbally destroying the opponent.
In conclusion: It's official: I'm maining Phoenix Wright along with Mike Haggar (the 3rd character is still hazy for me...). Or try Phoenix/She-Hulk/Chris for a judicial system team.
Edit: OMG, I just noticed: You HAVE to look for evidence in order to make his "Objection!!!" move (and more than likely his Level 3 Super) work! SQUEE!!!
I would rather have Miles Edgeworth 2 released in the US.
So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

We can only hope that the inclusion of Wright in this will lead to more sales of the Ace Attorney series, thus Investigations 2 being localized.
Also, I want that sweet ass remix now.

I studied a couple of videos of Phoenix Wright's gameplay, and have to say it's quite clever.
He starts weak, but becomes stronger as he goes from Investigation to Cross Examination until he hits Cornered (with overriding Power up music included!). In other words, he becomes stronger as he builds his case, which makes sense as of why his Level 3 Super would only work during his Cornered phase.
His weakness of course is that he needs to play defensive (I see what you did there Capcom...) at first, thus relying on Maya or the other two fighters' assists to buy him time to find evidence. With the right evidence at hand (yes, there's a chance to pick duds during investigation), then it's just a matter of going to the offensive. Technical fighters might have a field day with him.
As for Nova...
...Well, it's obvious he's top tier already... Plus he has this weird Captain Falcon vibe to him...
In a new stage, there is a series of pictures of characters from MVC2 with the words "Slain" or "Apprehended" posted over them in a tribute to a classic comic book cover.
However, where Wolverine is in the original, without a "Slain" or "Apprehended" over him, Megaman is in this version, also without a "Slain" or "Apprehended".

Jin is slain but Ruby Heart, the shittiest character ever, is only apprehended? WEAK.
My favorite part of that video..."AND THE CROWD IS ON THEIR FEET CHEERING!" <pan to audience, 3 maybe 4 of the 100+ are standing>

It's hard for me to not want to buy it just because Phoenix is in it (Even though his supers are kind of lame). This may sound weird, but I think Pearl would be awesome as a Shang Tsung/Seth-like shape-shifter character. I guess beating the shit out of an eight-year-old girl wouldn't be too awesome, though.

Roll set a precedent.
