I've had this game since Tuesday, and as a huge Zelda-fan, I of course think the game is awesome. However, regarded a a Zelda-game, I would say that it is only decent. Hopefully that improves with time though.

Lots of shops here in Europe broke the street date set by Nintendo, which was how I and basically everybody who pre-ordered it got the game a few days early.

I just bought the game... BestBuy has it with a bonus $10 gift card. So... I kinda look at it as spending $50 - $10. We'll see how it is later tonight

Assuming there are absolutely no follow-up questions, yes. Yes I did.

Do you like rants? Of course you don't, but here's one anyway:
It sucks not being able to buy this game, yet a ton of people here can.
My region doesn't even get the Collector's Edition, so I see no point in buying this game on or near release date, whenever that is (guess: next year) (I don't remember any game or console coming here before any other country, apart from the DSi). It'll also be way overpriced here too. I wanted that gold Wiimote, and I most likely won't even be able to get the soundtrack/whatever CD. Fuck you, Nintendo of Australia.
</rant>
However, this does seem to be an awesome game, and I might grab it for my birthday next year. Until then, don't spoil it for me, or there will be pain. And blood. Or something.
EDIT: Turns out the collectors edition is called the "Limited Edition" here, since NoAu loves to confuse people. It comes with everything in the US CE, but costs so much that it fucking better be filled with fucking gold.

Yup. Australia has its own special localizations, too. In Australia, Goombas are known as Abbos, and Bowser, King of the Koopas is known as Mel, King of the Gibsons. Ganon/Ganondorf is known as Angus/Angusyoung.

They probably had to modify some of the enemies too. I mean, a mushroom with sharp teeth may be scary to us, but Australians have poisonous duckbeavers. N.O.Aussie needs to step up the game.

I've played that game for a couple hours yesterday. I totally like the Loftwings a lot.

Fucking flying Yoshi... it is exactly what a Zelda game didn't need.
[SPOILER:015d3c9c6a]I just saved my game where I am going down to the surface with the intentions of trying to save not-princess Zelda.[/SPOILER:015d3c9c6a]
So far the gameplay is loose and slightly sloppy, the camera is a bit frustrating to use, and the color pallet is pastel. At least I am not babysitting kids or transformed into a fucking dog though. I have learned to love to hate the introductions to Zelda games. They assume a person has never played a Zelda title before and treat you like a fucking idiot. I am hopeful that once the actual questing begins I will find the series that I love so much.

I hated the controls of the loftwing at first, but I am now quite used to it and it works well enough.
It was also really difficult to turn of my auto-motion-tendencies when enemies approached, as that only kicked my butt (died two times in the first dungeon thanks to this). I would recommend everybody to think at all times to that they are supposed to take it slow, watch for openings and then strike, as simple motion will only give you frustration as in my case.

Eh, I think the loft wings are okay. They bring back memories of sea travel in Wind Waker

I am approaching the first dungeon... actually I might be in it. I'm not sure. The lines in this game are somewhat blurred, but that is a good thing. I feel like I am moving forwards.

lol
We actually just get the European versions of the game, with a slightly modified US instruction booklet for most games, as far ad I know. Nintendo of Australia only really exists if a developed wants to release a game only in Australia.
