Tomorrow I need to go to the doctor's office.
I am not sure what happened, but I have a huge bruise on my leg.
Check it out:
So two nights ago I got up at like 4AM to go to the bathroom. When I looked in the mirror I saw this on my leg. I woke up my wife and was like "What the fuck is that?"
It didn't hurt at all, so I just went to bed. I have been taking pictures of it each day since and it has grown in size.
So now, even though I don't feel any pain there, I am concerned that I might be hurt. As you can see the center is pink.
So, what do you think it is? Am I hurt without feeling pain?

I really wouldn't be worried but then again I'm kind of used to strange injuries I can't recall.

Spider bite. It will eat out your leg until you have a hole the size of your fist.

That's probably a spider bite, from the looks of it it could have been from a brown recluse. They don't hurt when they bite but the venom starts decaying your tissue away. You should definately get that looked at, I've heard people have gotten limbs amputated because of those bites.

If that was a recluse bite he would be in a ton of pain and it would have started decaying the first night. Still, get that checked out, PRONTO.

It most likely doesn't hurt because the nerve endings were killed off, but yeah head to your doctor immediately.

The fact that it's getting bigger by the day seems to indicate that it's not a bruise. I'm no doctor, but it could be some kind of weird blot clot. I'd get it checked out.

I dunno, looks like a bruise to me, get it checked if you like, if anything since I don't see any marks or puncture wounds, it's not a bite. However you never know I guess. I used get shit like that all the time randomly, after boozing in college. My buddy called them ubi's, Unidentified Beer or Boozin Injuries. I don't think that is the case here, but who knows, maybe you bumped it and didn't know. Good luck, hope it heals quick whatever it is.

It looks like the size has reduced a little this morning.
Regardless I called the doctor when I woke up and left a message with the answering service to get back to me and that it wasn't an emergency room issue yet, but it would be if they don't get in touch soon.
The pink center thing is hard, at least a little bit deep too. I can feel it inside my leg a little.
It doesn't hurt like a bruise at all. In fact it feels like a pimple after it has been popped. Uncomfortable to touch, but no real pain.
Oh, and my legs are damn sexy, I am well aware of this.
And to think, the picture you see there is after a day in pants and a night in bed pre-shower. Imagine how good my thigh looks when it is clean!

You may have been it by something pretty hard and don't remember it, your description jsut reminds me of when I was shot in the hand with a pellet gun, there wasn't much CO2 left in the gun so it didn't break the skin but it killed blood cells so there was a red spot on my hand with a small circle in the middle that was pink and hard and after the initial impact it didn't hurt later, the pink spot just got harder and harder and only really hurt if i pressed on it.

So I just got back from the doctor.
He said it looks very much like a spider bite.
He seems to think that the spider has some form of anesthetic in its venom that caused me not to feel any pain. He told me that it looks fine, it isn't infected, and should go away within 3 weeks.

That looks brutal, I recall getting bruises like that all the time when I was a little kid. They would have that same exact bluish tint and never hurt at all, also how they got there was always a mystery to me as well. I don't think its anything serious at all.

I don't know shit about spider bites, in the city in Ontario, the only spiders we have don't seem to do any damage if they do bite, I don't know anyone from around here that has ever been bitten by a spider.

I've only gotten bit by a spider once and it didn't leave a huge ass bruise like that. It kind of hurt and itched a little bit and left a mosquito bite sized mark, but no bruise.
