In my opinion, these are good shows that were short-lived, and bad shows that lasted way too long/need to be canceled. Feel free to state yours.

Good ones: Firefly, Greg the Bunny, The Weird Al Show, The Tick (live action with Patrick Warburton), Invader Zim (This was the greatest cartoon on Nickelodeon), the 1995 Mega Man cartoon (some parts were cheesy, but most of the robots ACTUALLY looked like what they were in the games), and best of all, The A-Team.

Bad ones: Any of the longer lasting TGIF shows, Big Brother, Friends, and worst of all, Touched by a fucking Angel.

Freaks and Geek, Undeclared, and Heroes should have had longer runs.

...

Heroes is not cancelled, you say?

I wouldn't know the difference.

Worst example of a bad show with a long run Family Guy/American Dad. And King of Queens.
From a sitcom standpoint Friends had some of the most creative writing in history. If it didn't they wouldn't have had the audience and payroll to Cough up 1mil per actor per episode.

I wish the Ben Stiller show was still around though. Same for Sifl and Ollie.

I would like to second The Weird Al Show, Sifl & Olly, Freaks and Geeks, Firefly, The Ben Stiller Show, and Invader Zim as shows that didn't last long enough.

I'd also like to throw The Dana Carvey Show, Reunion, Point Pleasant, Battlestar Galactica, Wonder Showzen, and The Brak Show into the mix.

Also, every reality show ever went on too long. And All That. All That was good at first, but it went on WAY too long.

Space: Above And Beyond, Angel (Died too soon.), Exo-Squad, Heat Vision and Jack (Never got past the pilot.)

Shows I hope that don't die too soon:

Terminator: TSCC and Bionic Woman. (I really like these shows and hope they get renewed for another season.)

Cancelled too soon: Angel, Twin Peaks, ST: TOS, Futurama, Undergrads, and probably a lot more I can't think of at the moment. At least Futurama has been brought back, sorta.

On too long: Simpsons, That 70s Show. Man, that last season or two of That 70s Show was horrible.

Could have went longer if it didn't get shitty at the end: Farscape, Sliders.

Too Long: Friends, West Wing, The Sopranos... Yeah, yeah, two of those everyone LOVES...

One show that really should've gone another season: SONIC THE HEDGEHOG (abc version).

Shows that were cancelled too soon - Twin Peaks, Freaks and Geeks, The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr.

The Prisoner also only had a one season run, but that was the decision of Patrick McGoohan. Regardless, I could have watched a lot more of it.

I'd say The Prisoner was just the right length, though certainly awesome.

Not long enough: Total Recall 2070

I'd like to second Big Wolf on Campus, and third Mission Hill. I'll add Sealab 2021. And Rocko's Modern Life. Dagnab, I miss that show.
Went on too long: Any reality show (VH1 dating shows, I'm lookin' at you), and any of those retarded Adult Swim shows that (to quote Chuck D) make no goddamn sense at all: 12 oz. Mouse, I'm talkin' to you. Cow and Chicken went on waaaaay to long, and by that, I mean it should never have been on (as is my case with the aforementioned reality/AS shows.) All That went on too long as well, and The Simpsons. Hey Arnold should have stopped by the third season.
Hell, even an old favorite of mine, Cousin Skeeter went on for too long, mostly due to the actors aging and making it tougher to believe they were really in high school. The main problem: Puppets don't age, but actors do. I'm calling it the Skeeter Quandary.

Not long enough: Black Scorpion. Clerks the animated series. Boomtown. Dark Angel. The Tick. Kolchak. The Night Stalker. Swamp Thing the animated series. The Dead Zone (alright it lasted 6 seasons). TV Nation. Justice. Everwood. Aquaman.

Too Long: According to Jim. 7th Heaven. The War at Home. Survivor. The Evidence (even the pilot was too much).

Why is according to jim on there? I've seen two episodes, and it was mediocre bad. That is, it was really awful in that it was so mediocre, and yet it doesn't have an MST3K "so bad its good" vibe or even a so bad its a blight on this earth. Its just there, its awful, and will be forgotten with the passing of time.

Need I remind that I already listed "West Wing" and "Sopranos". Both of those shows are quality, but what made their long runs even more unbearable was all the hype, credit, and awards they got. "According to Jim" has already overstayed its welcome (if there ever was one) and continues to be as painfully unfunny as it was when it started. Constantly seeing the commercials for it is enough for it to get a mention. While my reasons may not encompass the "best of the best" and "worst of the worst" there's very few shows that make me want to punch a person into a television where they can die a painfully electrical filled Scream-inspired death.

BTW, I feel like I should mention M.A.N.T.I.S. but I watched some YouTube clips and I think my memory of it has glossed it up a lot. However, I'm still buying those DVDs.
