I know, I know. Nothing, right.

Now that we have that out of the way, I've recently acquired two PSPs (long story), and I only have the following:

Tiger Woods PGA Tour

Ridge Racers 2

Brave Story

Sega Genesis Collection.

I know that I for sure want:

Sid Meier's Pirates!

Test Drive Unlimited

I'll play pretty much anything other than FPS. What's good that's out?

				I own:

Daxter (haven't played it yet)

Metal Gear Ac!d 2 - I'm currently having fun with it.

Mortal Kombat Unchained - Fun fighter on the go. (I've also heard good things about that Tekken Dark Resurrection game.)

Justice League Heroes - Hella fun if repetitive beat-'em-ups are okay with you.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Looks pretty cruddy compared to the console version. The extra characters aren't really worth it, but LOTS to do and unlock.

Silent Hill: Origins - Fun, but short. The incentives make the game almost too easy and there's only one difficulty setting.
Since I'm a fanboy I'll recommend Metal Gear Portable Ops which has been rereleased after being out of print for a few months. The game plays kind of funky on the PSP, but it's fairly easy to adapt to. I don't play online so I can't really recommend Portable Ops Plus.

Then you could always get a GTA game even if you're like me and already have the PS2 ports.

Didn't they make a street fighter alpha 3 for PSP? If I had one, I'd definitely pick it up.

I picked up Castlevania because Test Drive Unlimited was $39 bucks... that's $10 too much imo. But CV was $29, so yay. I only got up to a werewolf and he fisted me hard. At least I have 6 hours left on my shift, so I'll have time to play more.

When I still had mine, I only really enjoyed two games:

Metal Gear Acid!

&

Hot Shots Golf

The GTA games have short draw distances and it's hard to see on that little screen, when you are driving, so I really didn't like it, and only used it for the Homebrew hack.

Maybe, I'm just spoiled by playing GTA3, VC, and SA on the PC, which are awesome. (And, now also have online Multiplayer.)

I actually have Pirates! on the PC, so it might be a better idea to get it on a system that has a full keyboard and monitor, because I couldn't imagine playing a game like that with a tiny little screen and screwy analog stick. But I've never played the PSP version so it might actually be better, I don't know.

MegaMan: Powered Up and Ratchet and Clank Size Matters both seem like pretty fun action games to have. I hear the PSP version of Lemmings is also pretty good, except you don't get a mouse so it's a little harder to control. And then there's always Lumines and whatever its sequel was called if you're into puzzle games.

From what I understand, it's closer to the Xbox version (which I actually prefer to the PC one because dancing in much easier and treasure hunting doesn't involve walking to the exact spot), but it doesn't have the transparent on-screen map that the Xbox one had, so that might be kind of annoying.

In any case, I know I'll still prefer the original C64 version over all, heh.

Yeah, definitely go with SFA3 on the PSP. It's near arcade-perfect, and has all the extra characters from the PlayStation and GBA ones thrown in, plus some new ones.

Never been a fan of the Alpha series. Maybe if I had played them before X-Men vs. Street Fighter, I'd like them better. But after playing a game where Ryu fires a giant fucking beam out of his hands, it's hard to like a game where his equivalent super move is a shitty two-hit fireball.

I just really like the combo system in alpha 2, plus none of the other capcom games have Guy, which is a fucking travesty.

				Thoughts on Castlevania so far:

- I don't like Richter's walking animation.

- It's fun otherwise, so far.

- Maria is cheap, but I like it.

Thoughts on redone SotN so far:

- The new translation is unnecessary.

- The scrolling text intro is longer than Warrior's debut promo on Nitro, for no good reason.

- Some of the sound effects are off a little.

- Soul Steal seems impossible on a PSP d-pad.

- Dash cancel works perfectly with the way I lay my buttons out.

- The clock room/wolf form sequence break still works.

That's it so far. Gonna play SotN during most of my shift today, I think I can get through it with all 3 characters before I'm off.

That's the kind of thing I like to hear. I always played it on the Amiga.

As an unnecessary sidenote on Pirates!, if I'm not playing on apprentice level (like I usually am, because I'm a pansy), I actually just tend to avoid dancing altogether, because I'm so bad at it.

I still need to play Symphony of the Night. Any version. It just seems like one of those games that you have to experience.

They've apparently removed a lot of the cool "castle escape" glitches and stuff. Having portable SotN is cool, but I may just opt for the PS Store version if it's the same as the PS1 version with all the cool sloppiness.

Yeah, "cesspool of hatred and lies" isn't as charming as "a miserable little pile of secrets!" imo.

I am curious to see if you can skip the Death fight entirely on PSP SotN like you can on JP PS1 SotN. I got sidetracked looking up that stuff about Macho Man and didn't even play today, haha.

Yeah, SotN was awesomeon PS1. One of the few games I spent a ton of time playing for the PS1, besides Gran Turismo 2 and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2.
