The epic showdown you've been waiting for. Winner heads straight to the finals.
Simpsons. Looney Tunes.
It's go time.

I picked Looney Tunes though Hawk and those clips you posted are the exact reason why.

My vote for Looney Tunes gives it a comfortable 3 vote lead.

I'm sorry, but Looney Tunes is neither better than Simpsons nor the best cartoon ever. I demand a hand recount.

Sorry, but Simpsons always rubbed me the wrong way and I'm at the point now that when a show refuses to end, with the constant TV spots that run for it, and that everyone claims it's the best TV show ever, it annoys me. I just don't see the appeal.
Whereas Looney Tunes is timeless and still entertaining to me as an adult 70 years after it was created. While I don't watch it regularly, it's an easy decision if you ask me what show I'd rather watch for 8 hours straight. If the show is Futurama instead of Simpsons (as it will be in the final), well now you have a contest.

This was a difficult choice, but I voted Simpsons. I love Looney Toons, but vintage Simpsons can beat just about anything.

I'm not saying Simpsons is the best show ever, nor do I disagree with the sentiment that it is now just a dead horse that Fox won't stop beating, I'm just saying that it had (arguably) 12 good seasons and made me laugh a lot harder and gave me a lot more repeat laughs than Looney Tunes ever did. Even as a kid, I always felt Looney Tunes were kinda dated and lame and would watch anything else before them.

i have to agree w/this guy.
LT is great, but they havent done any great short cartoons in a ridiculously long time. they tried some new cartoons in the 90's but they fell flat on their face unfortunately. and im not talking about duck dodgers and their ilk, but im talking about honest to god short toons (one of them was about elmer fudd working at a theater as an usher + daffy duck trying to sneak in.... it wasnt that good at all)

Perhaps, but Looney Tunes still had 30+ years as a worthwhile IP, and that's more than Simpsons ever had.
Also, know that regardless of what may or may not be funny by today's standards, Looney Tunes defined cartoon comedy and influenced the genre for generations to come. There's not a single animator out there who won't list at least one of the LT guys as an influence, whether it was Chuck Jones, Bob Clampett, Tex Avery, or Friz Freleng. Look at the Looney Tunes shorts compared to the Disney shorts from the same time periods. The Disney shorts were calculated. They were safe. They were sterile. They were also largely unfunny. If "Steamboat Willie" makes you want to do anything besides smash your head repeatedly into a wall, you were probably dropped some stairs as a child. Then you had the Looney Tunes shorts. They were often violent and sometimes sarcastic. They were, at times, anarchistic. They were filled with pop culture references and logic-defying sight gags. If cartoons today are funny, they are funny because they took what the Looney Tunes did and upped the ante to match their era.
