Um hey probably a lot of dumb questions but here I go, hot swapping hard drives! If I want something like an icy dock swappable hard drive bay installed in an older PC that has Parallel ATA cables (no serial ATA), is there like a dongle or some kind of voodoo I can do to connect the old style Parallel ATA cables to the newer serial ATA?
Or are there swapable bays I can install to the case that are the older Parallel ATA style connection?
I'm not really all that interested in the "hot" part of hot swapping, so I don't mind if I have to power totally down before swapping to avoid borking anything , basically I just want to be able to swap hard drives in and out of my PC without goofing around with the case or faffing about with screwdrivers and whatnot.
I'm probably gonna have to get a newer PC and stop Frankensteining an old one over and over aren't I?
