Well, here we are. We've reached the final round, so let's make sure this contest ends with a bang. For the first time in any challenge, we'll be using a hacked rom. This modded version of F-Zero features 3 custom tracks meticulously and painstakingly constructed by yours truly. Your task, should you have the courage to undertake it, is to try and complete as many of these 3 races as you can. The tiebreaker is of course time.
Edit: Almost forgot... you're not allowed to use turbo boosts.
Here are some pro-tips:
1. Make good use of L and R. You can use these to drift left or right while moving forward, or they can help you make sharp turns.
2. You can hold down or up during a jump to gain more or less distance, respectively.
I went to broken computer land and I am now using a mac. I have snes9x 1.52 on my mac and I have been adding the .frz extension to the save states so I can play along with the challenges but I never sent any videos in because I was unsure of the compatibility.
I am actually quite bummed about it, as I love the SNES and am quite good at most of the games that were used for this competition.

wow. that looks like an annoying track, yet cool at the same time. the curves turn me off, the jumps get me excited.
what are those little circles on the track? im presuming they hurt your car/ship somehow. i just dont recall seeing them before on other tracks...

They are mines and they are in the regular version of the game.

I can't make the first jump in Fire Field My Team is going to go broke constructing new race cars.
Don't use the start of race boost, it somehow slows you down on the speed-up platform.

Here's lavalarva's actual winning video:
...Yes, I did already upload a video to youtube and post it here, followed by deleting it shortly afterwards. I entirely forgot that the video I had sitting around for a week was the first video lava sent in, not his actual, final submission. ...Incidentally, the first video he sent in was still high enough for first place, but I went with this much longer one anyway. Any quality issues are due to having to shrink it and shrink it again to get the file size down to something I could get on youtube.

Are Not Sure's Super Metroid runs available to watch?
Wow... that is just damn impressive. I didn't realize that a charged rolling sideways jump provides immunity, I thought just the Screw Attack did that. Very very awesome.

Zim: "I put the fires out!"
Tallest: "You made them worse!"
Zim: "Worse or better?"
