There we go. I hate those too. 3rd person shooters are the ones I hate because of brute force.

I should probably give perfect dark a shot. Considering I never even played it, and could'nt even name the genre it was in.

Nevertheless, it will not be one of the things I regret on my death bed. I'm in no rush to try it.

The only Rare game that might be a problem to release is Goldeneye. I don't know quite know how licensing works... since the game uses the Bond license, and since Rare no longer holds the Bond license, there might be some sort of issue.

Goldeneye is possible, Activision owns the license, so Nintendo would need to get permission from them rather than Microsoft, which is much more likely.

DKC is on there because Nintendo owns the rights to any game which Rare developed as part of an existing Nintendo franchise.

Banjo and Perfect Dark will not be on there because they were not Nintendo franchises and were transfered to Microsoft ownership when Microsoft bought Rare. This only applies to console games, which is why Rare still makes games for GBA and NDS and can use characters such as Banjo.

Okay, what about Killer Instinct?

The first player in PDZ was phenomenal, the multiplayer kinda sucked. Actually, the N64 PD was the exact same way.

Source? I could swear there has been talk for a while of a new Killer Instinct game planned for the 360. That wouldn't be possible in Nintendo had copyrights on the characters or whatnot. Besides, if Nintendo really owned the KI characters, wouldn't they have been referenced in some way in the Smash Bros. games?

that's really funny syd! you are always the joker!

perfect dark's mutliplayert was the best on consoles at the time. the sheer number of options was astounding. you could make your own gametypes and save them, you could choose from a variety of bots with their own personalities and adjustable difficulties, you could change what weapons spawned where, and you could even change the soundtrack that played during the matches. the scoring sheet was cool too, which kept track of your achievements and stats.

The number of customizable options don't change the fact the multiplayer sucked. A lot of the levels were too dark and there was that stupid glitch where if you died with blurry vision, you'd wake up with it. I think there was something else I hated it about, but it's been at least 6 years since I've played it.

I will take Goldeneye multi over PD multi any day of the week.

Maybe, but Rare or Nintendo can just take their chars and make some new ones over that. It's that easy.

I never had any problems with the brightness of the levels. the blurry thing annoyed the hell out of me, but it was one error out of countless things that were done right.

goldenye's multiplayer is the same as perfect dark's, except with a lot less stuff.

in fact the entire game is like perfect dark, except with a lot less stuff.

it's actually really fun to have all four players use the slow motion item, then punch each other to death and see how badly the game fucks up, but what were you expecting from trying to get those kinds of effecs out of an aging N64. the system was NOT built well.

JEW, another reason that PD's multiplayer sucked was that I was the only one out of my friends that knew how to use the farsight. If only one out of 4 people playing was able to use that thing, they were basically an unstoppable killing machine. Yeah the customization was nice, but I don't htink the level design was as nice as Goldeneye.

I always disable the farsight, personally. I hate that gun.

come to think of it, there were quite a few guns in that game that I could do without. remember the ripper?

I think the farsight was the most innovative gun in the game. Not as fun as the Skedar rocket launcher, fun still awesome.

It was VERY innovative. regardless, a one hit kill gun with auto tracking that can see and shoot through walls was a little bit cheap.

I hate killer instinct so much. I mean, I didn't like shaq fu or battle master or world heroes all that much, but at least is wasnt get hit by some punk and proceed to be infinitely comboed to death. No stratagy. The only thing good about the game was fulgore's name and sabrewulf in general. And fulgore did have that heavy clang sort of feel you would expect from a robot. So thats about three.

killer instinct is a tad deeper than that. and comparing world heroes to shaq fu just isn't fair.

there was plenty of strategy in killer instinct, and there was plenty more added into killer instinct 2, and a simple combo breaker would have stopped you from being infinite comboed to death.

Killer instinct one was hardly deeper than that. Thats what it was. Thats all it was. Thats all you did was hit first then enter a never-ending combo. Maybe two. That was the games defining shtick, the combo system. Like the hydraulic buttons on street fighter one, or the inner strength system from eternal champions. Street fighter two is excused, as the game gained iterations new characters were added, character versus self, combos, reversals, and eventually a super meter in turbo.

Combo breakers sound like a good idea. Did they ever replace the mostly shitty characters from the first?

And you are correct. I stopped to think of a 2D fighter people don't think of and that was not really good, and world heroes leapt. I should have gone with clay fighters 2 or maybe fighters history. I'm not sure that fighter's history was bad enough though.

I liked Primal Rage because it would flash the no cheese symbol if you were...well...basically if you played like Syd.

the crux of the biscuit here is that only faggots use the farsight, so you already claim a moral victory against any enemy who uses it. the only kind person I could see liking it is the kind who thinks it's "neat" because they don't have to have any skill whatsoever to be a cheap bitch and win with it.

akimbo unsilenced falcons are what real men use.

Real men play pistols in the basement on license to kill.

fighter's history wasn't bad either. you are failing.

the characters in killer instinct weren't that bad. look at the retards in mortal kombat, or any of the real 3do or jaguar fighters.

you must really suck at the game if you can get hit once and be infinite comboed.
