I agree Greg, I always liked the Bouncing Souls, "True Believers" era and earlier, it just seems they have kind of changed their style and aren't as fun loving as they use to be and turned darker and less happy, I fucking hate when bands do that.

Strung Out is incredibly underrated as a band in general. Their early stuff was so much fun, and they were incredibly talented musicians, but after 2001, they jumped on the political bandwagon and started making sad songs, super serious songs, and completely dumped the thing that made the band fun and interesting to listen to. Also, when you go from normal to wearing all black and fingernail polish and screaming in your songs, you lose cool points, especially when you were never like that before.

My band plays exactly three covers. One is "Panic" by Osker, and the other two are "Manthem" and "True Believers". Unless you count Word 1-1 from Super Mario as a cover.

Hey, my band is underappreciated, maybe I should put it here.

Seriously, from the looks of it, if any band is unappreciated, I'd say GWAR. Everyone loved GWAR circa mid 90s, but it seems they've faded back into obscurity. Listening to some of their newer albums suggests they've tightened up their song chops ("Immortal Corruptor" is probably my favorite 'drive like an asshole' song right now) and have written songs that went from awesome to crushfacing. Yet, GWAR is now in a situation where they have to tour to make people remember them, yet they lose money when they tour.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas.

I see Metal Church, Testament, The Cult, and most of all UFO in your list. That alone makes me wanna check out the more obscure ones up there.

I'd add King Diamond, and I'm gonna go ahead and put Iron Maiden up there too. Sells out shows in other countries, still making quality albums, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Flight of Icarus, The Trooper, and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son immediately come to mind as fantastic songs. The most common responce to my mentioning of Iron Maiden? "Those guys who did run to the hills?". COME ON PEOPLE. Mad

David Bowie is not underrated. I think he's the opposite, but nevertheless the mainstream know about him well enough that strangers can rattle off 2-3 of his songs, and TV commercials license his stuff for hawking cars. Some people think he's good, others think he's fantastic, I think he blows fat chunks.

No way is Iron Maiden underrated. Most everyones heard of them, their concerts still sell out in less than an hour.
