THAT'S ALL, FOLKS!

Apparently when an "internet monitoring agency" hired by a gaming giant sends you vague, automated threats about an insignifcant piece of content on your site, simply ignoring them is not an option. If you attempt this course of action, the gaming giant in question will eventually have real lawyers threaten very real legal action against you and your webhost. At least, that's what has happened to me.

I don't believe for one second that "NINTENDO" has any justifiable cause for legal action against me, but unfortunately I have neither the time nor the money to fight the good fight. And since the letter they sent me demands the removal of ALL Nintendo-related, the site in its current form is effectively dead. To avoid legal action, I will have to remove all NES and SNES reviews, all the old web comics featuring Kirby, and God knows what else. In other words, all of the most popular content will be gone. Consequently, I will be taking the whole site down. I will retain my rights to the domain name and I may relaunch the site at some point in the distant future, but in the interest of, uh, NOT GETTING SUED INTO BANKRUPTCY, I am going to err on the side of caution and take everything down.

I'm sorry that it has come to this. I sincerely treasure all the people who have written to me over the years expressing appreciation for my work, especially all of my loyal forum members. The site in its entirety will be completely dismantled by 11:59 PM EST on April 10th. The forums will be the last thing to go and I will leave them up until then. So say your goodbyes and get the e-mail addresses of the forumers you wish to stay in contact with.

Once again, I'm sorry that it's come to this. I really am.
